Gilles Colin, originally from Liège, Belgium, brings a unique perspective to the field of radiotherapy through his diverse background. A physicist by training, Gilles transitioned to medicine later in his career and is currently completing his final year as a radiotherapy assistant.
A former top-level sportsman, Gilles has maintained a strong interest in osteoarticular pathologies. His medical journey led him to specialise in anti-inflammatory radiotherapy, where he is particularly focused on understanding the role of radiotherapy as a safe and cost-effective treatment for benign diseases. He is committed to addressing the questions surrounding these treatments with a rigorous, patient-oriented approach.
Gilles’s professional interests extend to exploring the potential of combining radiotherapy with immunotherapy in the treatment of oncological pathologies. He is also passionate about radiobiology and its implications for advancing cancer care.
Gilles is enthusiastic about contributing to the field with his interdisciplinary expertise and looks forward to continuing his work in discovering innovative and patient centred solutions.
